【Note 1】 The swimming pool pump must be filled with water before it can be turned on and run. Otherwise, it will cause dry grinding of the mechanical seal and cause heat generation to damage the impeller, and finally cause the water pump to leak（water）.
【Note 2】 Learn about a common mistake you can make when installing your pool pump. Using a fitting that causes a flow restriction really close to the pump's suction intake could cause premature damage or failure. Advise 5x pipe diameter of straight pipe run into the pump as a minimum. So 2" pipe requires at least 10" of straight pipe run into the suction side of your pool pump as the minimum installation standard.
